Trabzonspor close in after seeing off Besiktas
Salah is nearing an agreement with Trabzonspor, who moved decisively for the free agent after reportedly winning the race ahead of fellow Turkish side Besiktas. Turkish reports put the initial package at around $19.5m a season, with a final decision expected in the coming weeks as the new season approaches.

Mohamed Salah has left Liverpool as a free agent after the two parties reached a mutual agreement to terminate his contract a year ahead of schedule. The 33-year-old Egyptian arrived from Roma in 2017 and leaves as the club's record Premier League goalscorer, having won the Premier League twice, the Champions League and a host of domestic cups along the way.
Saudi Pro League interest cools
Al-Hilal had earlier been considered leading contenders for Salah's signature, with MLS clubs and Turkish sides Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas also registering interest before Trabzonspor moved to the front of the queue.
