Vilda names final 26-player squad for the Atlas Lionesses

Head coach Jorge Vilda has unveiled Morocco's final 26-player squad for a home WAFCON, with the hosts chasing a first continental title after falling to Nigeria in the 2024 final.

Squad unveiled in Salé

Vilda confirmed his final selection at a press conference at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, naming three goalkeepers, eight defenders, six midfielders and nine forwards.

Unfinished business on home soil

Morocco reached the 2024 final on home turf only to lose to Nigeria, and arrive at this tournament with an entire nation's expectation behind a squad that has continued to develop under Vilda.

Group A favourites

The hosts headline Group A alongside Algeria, Senegal and Kenya, with all their group games staged in Rabat in front of home support.

What's next

Morocco open the tournament as hosts on July 26, with the group stage running through August 6 ahead of the knockout rounds and the August 16 final.
