Nottingham Forest appoint Oliver Glasner as head coach
Forest turn to the trophy-winning Austrian, fresh off an FA Cup, Community Shield and Conference League treble with Crystal Palace, as their fifth manager in 12 months.
Nottingham Forest have appointed Oliver Glasner as head coach following the departure of Vitor Pereira, ending a turbulent 12 months in which the club has now cycled through five different managers — Nuno Espírito Santo, Ange Postecoglou, Sean Dyche, Pereira and now Glasner.
The 51-year-old Austrian arrives with arguably the strongest résumé of any incoming Premier League manager this summer. He guided Crystal Palace to their first major trophy, the 2025 FA Cup, before adding a Community Shield and, this past May, the Conference League — a remarkable haul for a club that had never previously won a major honor.
Forest have moved to make Glasner one of the best-paid coaches in the division, with his deal reported to be worth around £250k a week. His first competitive match in charge arrives on August 22, at home to newly promoted Leeds United.
