Yamal Double Stars As Barcelona Thrash Valencia 5-0
Lamine Yamal scored twice as Barcelona opened up a three-point gap at the top of La Liga with a 5-0 win over Valencia at the Mestalla.

Barcelona produced a dominant display to thrash Valencia 5-0 at the Mestalla and maintain their perfect start to the La Liga season.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the sixth minute with a well-taken finish. Fermín López doubled the lead in the 22nd, latching onto a through ball and slotting past the Valencia goalkeeper.
The visitors made it 3-0 early in the second half. Yamal set up Raphinha, who fired home in the 50th minute to put the game beyond reach before the hour mark.
Pedri and Yamal complete rout
Pedri added a fourth in the 79th minute, sweeping Dani Olmo’s pass into the bottom corner.
Yamal completed his brace in the 84th, finishing clinically after Olmo created space and fed him inside the area. The winger also had a third goal disallowed as Barcelona ran up a fifth without reply.
The result leaves Barcelona top of La Liga with 12 points from four games, having scored 17 goals and conceded just two. Valencia remain bottom of the table with only one point from their opening four matches.
