Spurs agree £75m deal to sign Man City's Savinho
Tottenham have agreed a £75m deal to sign Manchester City winger Savinho, with talks for team-mate Omar Marmoush continuing as part of a summer spending spree that has already topped £200m.
Savinho heading to north London
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to sign winger Savinho from Manchester City in a deal worth £75m, plus £10m in potential add-ons.
The 22-year-old Brazilian will sign a long-term contract with Spurs after being given permission to undergo a medical in north London. His move has been more than a year in the making, with Tottenham having failed with an attempt to sign him last summer.
Marmoush next on the list
Spurs are unlikely to end their spending here. Talks for Savinho's City team-mate Omar Marmoush continue to progress positively, with negotiations between the two clubs advancing.
Marmoush signed for City from Eintracht Frankfurt for £59m in January 2025 and could soon be reunited with the Brazilian in Roberto De Zerbi's squad, taking Spurs' summer outlay past £300m.
City eyeing replacements
City have targets in mind for any player who leaves and will aim to replace them, with less than two weeks to go in the transfer window.
The Gakpo domino
Spurs are also waiting for Liverpool to sign Bradley Barcola and, potentially, his Paris Saint-Germain team-mate Ibrahim Mbaye before they bid for Cody Gakpo on top of Savinho.
If they cannot get Gakpo, Spurs are believed to be ready to pursue other targets, with interest in Pedro Neto at Chelsea.
A summer of spending
Tottenham have already spent £185m on two midfielders — Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes — from Newcastle and West Ham respectively.
They have spent more than £200m adding Jan Paul van Hecke, who replaces Cristian Romero. Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson and Martin Dubravka all arrived on free transfers.
