Leeds Hold Man United At Elland Road
Manchester United have won only one of their seven Premier League games this season after a 1-1 draw at Leeds, where Dominic Calvert-Lewin cancelled out Bryan Mbeumo's opener.
Mbeumo gives United the lead
Manchester United went ahead in the 35th minute at Elland Road when Bryan Mbeumo scored, with Youri Tielemans setting up the chance.
Lisandro Martinez started after a difficult week in which he publicly criticised the club's hierarchy. He was replaced at half-time by Noussair Mazraoui. Head coach Michael Carrick said afterwards that the defender "felt his thigh a little bit".
Calvert-Lewin equalises
Leeds levelled in the 51st minute. Tarik Muharemovic made the first contact on a corner, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin finished from close range.
Winless run continues
The draw extended United's winless run to six matches in all competitions. In the Premier League they have won one of seven games, with four draws and two defeats, giving them seven points. That is their fewest wins at this stage of a top-flight season in 40 years, and they are 13th in the table.
What next
United travel to Italy to face Como in the Champions League on Wednesday, 21 October. They then host Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday, 25 October.
