Liverpool Rescue Forest Draw
Alexander Isak and Daniel Muñoz scored as Liverpool came from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Nottingham Forest at Anfield.
Forest strike first
Liverpool twice came from behind to earn a 2-2 Premier League draw against Nottingham Forest at Anfield.
Nottingham Forest took the lead in the first half through Dan Ndoye. The visitors carried that advantage into the interval after limiting Liverpool’s attempts to find a breakthrough.
Isak levels for Liverpool
Alexander Isak brought Liverpool level around the hour mark, scoring his first goal to pull Andoni Iraola’s side back into the contest.
The equaliser changed the momentum, but Forest regained the advantage when Morgan Gibbs-White converted a penalty.
Muñoz earns late point
Liverpool continued to press for another response and Daniel Muñoz scored in the final 10 minutes to secure a point.
Muñoz was making his full Liverpool debut after being selected in one of two changes to the side. Alexis Mac Allister also came into the starting line-up, while Ryan Gravenberch and Rio Ngumoha dropped out.
The draw extended Liverpool’s unbeaten league start but left them with another game in which they had to recover from a losing position.
