Barcelona Hit Five Against Rayo

Raphinha and Lamine Yamal scored twice as Barcelona recovered from an early deficit to beat Rayo Vallecano 5-2 at Spotify Camp Nou.

Barcelona recover from early setback

Barcelona came from behind to beat Rayo Vallecano 5-2 at Spotify Camp Nou and record a third consecutive La Liga victory.

Rayo took the lead when Álvaro García created an opening for Sergio Camello, who scored past Joan García. It was the first league goal Barcelona had conceded this season.

Barcelona responded quickly. Raphinha levelled in the 19th minute, cutting in from the left before placing a low shot into the far corner. Lamine Yamal then put the hosts ahead shortly afterwards with a left-footed finish from outside the area.

Lamine’s first goal was his 50th for Barcelona’s first team, making him the youngest player to reach that mark for the club.

Gordon helps Barcelona pull clear

Barcelona extended their lead six minutes into the second half. Anthony Gordon broke forward and delivered a low cross that Rayo defender Florian Lejeune turned into his own net.

Rayo cut the gap when Camello scored his second goal, heading in from a corner to make it 3-2.

Barcelona reassert control

Raphinha restored Barcelona’s two-goal advantage after Jules Koundé’s long pass and Gordon’s back-heel created the opportunity for the Brazilian forward.

Lamine then completed the scoring in the 90th minute, adding his second goal of the match to secure Barcelona’s 5-2 win.

The result moved Hansi Flick’s team to nine points from three La Liga matches. Barcelona next travel to Valencia on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 16:15 CEST.
